Workers' Day
May 1st, Workers' day, I got a chance to have a good lunch this noon and celebrate. Now, I'm one of them, who celebrates this day:^V^ A good work makes us stand where we want to stand and it lets us be happy. No need to beg anyone for anything. I thankfully remember all my colleagues those who support, advice & help me to improve myself and do what I do, in this special day.Still I see, workers work for long hours, earn lower salary and have no facility available to them. The majority of them moved from the countryside to Colombo to earn a living. They are forced to lead an unhygienic and miserable life. Some companies pay a lot but some are not.
Workers of the world, awaken!
Rise in all your splendid might
Take the wealth that you are making,
It belongs to you by right.
No one will for bread be crying
We'll have freedom, love and health,
When the grand red flag is flying
In the Workers' Commonwealth.
